Peak of Mantalongon

If Luzon has the chilly mountains of Baguio, the Queen City of the South has the peaks of Mantalongon. 

Mantalongon is called as such because of its cold temperature ranging from 18 to 25 degree Celsius especially between the months of November to January. It is long-hailed as the “Little Baguio of the South” in Cebu and is officially recognized by the Provincial Board as the “Summer Capital of Cebu” since 2006. Because of its cold temperature which is cooler than the usual breeze, the main livelihood of the community is farming different kinds of vegetables.
